Actions
Last updated: February 27, 2026
This page helps you manage past and present learning actions for your organization’s groups and users.
What are Actions?
Actions are must-view content set by admins on Tigerhall. They help ensure important content is consumed by a deadline, often tied to specific goals, topics, or projects. You can find them under the “Your Active actions” section on the Home Page.
Managing Actions
Admins can edit actions to include or exclude groups and users
Mark overdue actions as Inactive to focus on active ones.
You can access this through the left navigation bar on the Tigerhall web app.
Understanding User & Group tabs in an action page:
Users - Individual users who have been assigned the action
Groups - Groups that have been assigned the action
You will not be able to view the group’s users in the users' tab. To get that view, simply click on the group name to see the list of users under that group
How do I create actions?
Please follow the steps below to create an action:
Go to the actions tab
Click on the “New action” button
Select all the content that you would assign. You can choose from podcasts, power reads, videos, experiences, and trails
Select the users and/or groups you would like to assign the content to
Add an action title, purpose/goal, start date, and a due date.
If you’d like to change the order in which your content appears in an action, simply use the drag-and-drop functionality. You can move each content piece to the left or right and create your desired order.
Once you are happy with the content and users/groups, click “Create action”
Please note that for actions, you won’t have the ability to change this order once you create the action. Kindly double-check the order of content pieces before hitting create.
Can I schedule actions to go live on a future date?
Yes, by using the start date functionality in the last step of the action creation flow, you can schedule actions for a future date. Please note that the start date can be updated only if it has not passed already.
How can I assign the trail we created?
Actions in the Tigerhall app refer to certain content pieces/trails that you’d like to highlight for end users to let them know what specific learning content they are expected to complete.
The assigning function allows admins to assign different trails and content pieces to different groups/users.
There are two ways in which one can assign a trail to a group/user(s):
Assign the content right after the trail is created
Create a trail and assign it later from the 'actions' function
We can assign trails to either Groups of people or by selecting individual users.
Please see the video to follow the steps to assign a trail right after it has been created:
What are the action statuses?
The following are the three action statuses:
Active - actions that are within their due date.
Published - actions that have been scheduled to go live on a future date.
Expired - actions that have gone beyond the due date. Users can still complete this action by accessing it from the “Expired” tab on their actions page.
Inactive - Any action that’s been marked as inactive by the admin. This removes it from the end user’s actions section on the homepage.
How can I edit an action?
You can edit the “Due Date” for any active/expired action.
You can edit the users/groups for an active action.
You can mark an active/expired action as inactive.
However, once you mark an action as inactive you cannot change any information on it.
Changing a trail that’s part of an action will have an impact on the statistics
Please note that “Due Date” can only be pushed forward and not backdated (even if this date is in the future). For eg, If action X has a due date on 2 Mar 2023, you can edit it to 20 Mar 2023 but not 20 Jan 2023. This can only be done if action X has not been marked as inactive.
How can I mark an action as inactive?
You can mark an action as inactive by following the steps below:
Go to the actions tab
Click on any action title
Click on the Mark as Inactive button
Where can I view all the inactive actions?
To view all inactive actions, follow the steps below:
Go to the actions tab
Click on the “Inactive actions” button
Where can I view action completion at a user level?
You can view statistics on completion related to an action within the individual action page. You can access this table in a couple of ways:
Clicking on the action title in the Statistics tab’s tables
Going to actions → Selecting relevant action → scrolling down the action detail page
Feel free to use the filters available to check on specific users' completion rates. You can also use the Organization Groups filter to filter users using the pre-created Groups within the organization. Please note that these groups are not restricted to those in the action.
You can also view user-level content completion data in the Statistics tab within the Admin Portal. Click here for more details.
